AetherSX2 is an emulator designed for the Android platform, specifically tailored to replicate the functionality of the PS2 console. By utilizing this emulator, users can enjoy playing games they have legally acquired and dumped from discs directly on their portable devices.

To initiate gameplay, it is imperative to possess a BIOS image, which is mandatory and cannot be bypassed. This image should be extracted from one’s personal console using a specialized homebrew application like biosdrain, ensuring authenticity and legality.

For optimal performance, a high-end device is recommended. Specifically, a Snapdragon 845-equivalent device or higher is advised, featuring a minimum of 4 large cores, ideally at Cortex-A75 level, and achieving a single-core Geekbench 5 score of 500 or above.
