Each artist in the game possesses various attributes that influence this process:

• PRODUCTION evaluates their aptitude for composing entertaining music.

• HAPPINESS indicates their current level of satisfaction with their work.
• ATTITUDE signifies their likelihood of contributing positively or causing trouble.

As a band manager in this simulation, your role is to recruit talent from the music industry. Each week, new songs may be recorded based on your team’s size and collective attitude. Each team member contributes their score to a new song, with dedicated backstage staff contributing twice, thereby increasing the likelihood of producing a quality song.

Once songs are recorded, it’s up to the on-stage performers to bring them to life. Similar to songwriting, each band member on stage contributes their score, with the highest score determining the song’s reception in each category. The “frontman” contributes twice in this phase, so choose wisely who takes the lead.

The overall rating for a performance is the average of all songs performed, with slight leniency to avoid requiring perfection. This principle also applies to album reviews. A 5-star performance may consist of consistent 4-star contributions. Reviews influence the attributes of your performances, as each attribute adjusts based on the feedback received.

When booking venues, consider the balance between expenses and potential revenue. Tickets are priced at $5 per song, so the length of your set matters. You receive a percentage of ticket revenue, which must cover employee salaries and other expenses. Singles sell for $1 each, while albums sell for $1 per song, up to $10 in total. Inactivity may lead to financial losses due to lifestyle expenses, reflecting your wealth. Independent artists receive a larger share of lower revenue, necessitating a transition to a major label over time.
